SPR’s third issue, with a record number of contributors, is slated to be out by November 15. Listed below are this issue’s contributors (45) and translators (15):

Unsolicited submissions for the 2010 issue are being accepted now until January 15. New this year, SPR will only accept electronic submissions through our new electronic submission manager accessible through www.stpetersburgreview.com. Our submission page will continue to have the most current submission information.
Poetry contest 2010: St. Petersburg Review is again holding its poetry contest with a January 15, 2010 postmark deadline. The winning writer receives a prize of $1000. As with last year’s contest, the editors will consider all entries for publication (see asterisked contributor/entrants above). See web events page for complete contest guidelines.
Upcoming (and recent past) events: On November 12-15, 2009, SPR will have a table, along with Ugly Duckling Press and Tin House, at the American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies Conference book fair at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. On November 12, SPR and the New England Poetry Club sponsor a reading by Dmitry Golynko and Eugene Ostashevsky at Harvard’s Yenching Library, 2 Divinity Ave. in Cambridge at 7 p.m. Free to the public. Wine reception. On November 13, SPR sponsors a reading by Dmitry Golynko and Polina Barskova in the Marriott Copley Place (110 Huntington Ave.) Nantucket Room at 7:45 p.m. Free. Wine reception.
On September 12, SPR once again participated in the Brooklyn Book Fair where we distributed a 32-page advance publication of our third issue (free). On September 21, SPR co-sponsored, with CECArtslink and Tin House, the launch of the anthology, Rasskazy, edited by Mikhail Iossel and Jeff Parker, at Housing Works in New York City. |
